Platinum award-winning artist Nardo Wick has an electric performance at Club Solena in Hull

After stepping away from performing, Nardo Wick returned to the stage at Club Solena on Thursday, April 23. The event started at 10 pm, and people were lined up down the street to get in. Tickets for the event sold out almost immediately after the announcement, with over 250 people attending the show.

Nardo Wick’s career took off in 2021 when he released his album Who is Nardo Wick? that featured his most famous song, Who Want Smoke? which peaked at 17 on the Billboard top 100 and went platinum. The album featured many Grammy-nominated artists, including Future, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, and more. In 2023, the album went platinum, and after it dropped, Nardo Wick was nominated for Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2022.

Until Nardo Wick took the stage around 1:30 am, local artists, including YNG, Prada, Taz Bent II, and others, had the crowd excited. The venue exploded when Nardo Wick came on stage, and everyone sang the lyrics word for word.

The crowd was electric for his appearance, singing all his songs, and when his most famous one, Who Want Smoke? came on, the building erupted.  Nardo Wick is used to big crowds, having performed at Rolling Loud, one of the world's biggest rap festivals.

Joshua Carle-Beauchamp from Motion Cru, who hosted and promoted the event, told the Bulletin that it took about a month and a half to plan, and the process went very well.

“I'm glad it went well, and everyone showed up,” Beauchamp said.

Nardo Wick had his second performance in Canada as he performed at Rare Nightclub & Events Centre in Waterloo, Ontario, on Friday, April 24.
