Gatineau police arrest two men for attempted murder committed last October

Early last October, Gatineau police responded to a call related to gun violence in the city’s Lac-Beauchamp area near de Vimy and Notre-Dame Streets. On the scene, authorities found a 34-year-old man with injuries consistent with gun violence. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment, and an investigation was launched.
Five months later, police arrested two Ottawa men in relation to the incident. At approximately 10:30 am on March 11, Ottawa Police Tactical Unit arrested 35-year-old Timothy Michael Langlois and 34-year-old Mohamed Said Mohamed. The individuals were brought to the police station for questioning and are now facing charges of attempted murder, use of a firearm, and multiple firearm charges. Gatineau police conducted two searches in Ottawa after the suspects were arrested. No further information on the searches was provided by authorities.
