Gatineau lands Quebec chambers of commerce gathering and gala for 2027

The yearly summit of Quebec’s chamber of commerce network is heading to Gatineau, where the Chambre de commerce de Gatineau (CCG) will host the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec’s (FCCQ) Grande Rencontre and Gala des chambres on June 7 and 8, 2027, an opportunity the local chamber hopes to use to put the Outaouais in front of business leaders from every corner of the province.

Roughly 200 chamber employees and directors are expected to attend, the CCG said in announcing the news on October 14. Delegates will spend the meeting trading ideas on how to manage their organizations and how to strengthen the part chambers play in their local economies. Proceedings wrap up with the Gala des chambres de commerce du Québec, where the federation hands out awards recognizing the network’s best work of the past year.

Véronique Proulx, the federation’s president and chief executive officer since November 2024, said the annual meeting allows the network to pool its know-how and rally behind the concerns of the businesses it represents. “This year, it was the Chambre de commerce de Gatineau that stood out in the selection process,” she said. “We are particularly pleased to hold the next edition in this city at the gates of the federal capital, known for its economic vitality and where several major infrastructure projects are expected.”

The Gatineau chamber plans to use its turn as host to connect visiting chamber leaders with the region’s own business community, and to give delegates from across the province a look at what Gatineau and the Outaouais have to offer. The chamber has not yet said where in the city the events will take place.

“It is with immense pride that we will welcome the FCCQ’s Grande Rencontre and Gala des chambres to Gatineau,” said Julien Chaput-Lemay, president of the CCG. “We want to offer participants a memorable experience that reflects our region: welcoming, ambitious and deeply collaborative. Beyond the celebrations, this gathering will be an opportunity to highlight the strength of the chamber network and its essential contribution to Quebec’s prosperity and economic development.”
