A Haitian meal brings together residents of Village Transitiôn

A community initiative brought residents of Village Transitiôn together for a meal featuring Haitian flavours on October 4.

Three volunteer cooks—Marjorie, Gabrielle, and Murtha—came to the Village to prepare a meal for the residents right on site. The event brought together many participants in a friendly atmosphere that encouraged conversation and an exploration of Haitian cuisine.

The meal also allowed residents to discover Haitian culinary traditions while providing an opportunity to socialize. Located in Gatineau, Village Transitiôn provides shelter for people experiencing homelessness and offers a living environment that includes communal spaces.

Transitiôn Québec thanked the volunteer cooks for their dedication and contribution to this gathering at the Village.

Their participation and interactions helped create a warm atmosphere within the Village. This initiative highlights the contribution of volunteers who choose to get involved in the community and create opportunities for residents to come together.
